The Analysis of Factors Affecting Social Security of Labour in Indonesia

ABSTRACT

This research aims to analyze the factors affecting Social Security of labour in Indonesia in the 1991-2022 period reviewed from the variables of total active participants (JPA), Gross Domestiv Product (GDP0, Inflation, Minimum Wage (UM) and Workforce Participation Rate (TPAK). The research employs secondary data, namely annual data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Employee Social Security System) report. This research employs regression analysis method of Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL). This research result indicates that in the long term, the variables of GDP, Inflation and Minimum Wage have a positive and significant effect on the JPA, respectively, Meanwhile, TPAK has a negative and insignificant effect on JPA.
