The Influence of Worked-Oriented Communication on the Performance of Employees at the Harbour Master Offices and Port Authority in Aceh Province with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable

ABSTRACT

This study examines the effect of work-oriented communication on employee performance, as well as examines the mediating effect of job satisfaction variables. The sample in this study were 130 employees at the Port Authority and Harbour Master Offices in Aceh Province. The analysis tool used is path analysis with the SEM (structural equation modeling) method using Amos. The results showed that the work-oriented communication variable had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work-oriented communication had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and the job satisfaction variable mediated the effect of work-oriented communication variables with employee performance variables partially.
